There are things I call home ...
The objects in these photos not only paint a portrait of my family, they also speak of the estranged relationship I share with them. It is my foray into my own house yet I feel like an outsider. This essay is an attempt at reconciling this portrait (of home) with my own evolving identity.
Each of these slides tries to capture what Istanbul is really about. The mix of the different empires that ruled the place, the only city in the world which exists on two continents, numerous mosques and ottoman architecture.
