A thirty year retrospective of Chris Buck's portraits of the famous. Featuring 338 color and black-and-white photographs, 129 stories behind the pictures, and six interviews (from 1990 to 2014).
In this series, I went behind the scenes to look at the process female body builders go through to sculpt themselves into what the contestants perceive as ‘the perfect body’. I came into the competition wanting to form a more concrete opinion of these practices, but left with more questions.
